Room types at Venabu

We have 56 rooms with private shower, WC & telephones. The East Wing is the older part of the hotel and dates from 1964, the West Wing having been built in 1976. Both wings have been more recently refurbished. The rooms in the West Wing are larger and have heated bathroom floors.

East Wing:

10 single rooms with a south facing view and a sofa bed as well. Heated bathroom floor. 10 double rooms with a view to the north, but no place for an extra bed, unless it’s a cot. Four of the rooms have double beds, the rest having two single beds that can be put together. No heated floor. Two floors, no lift.

West wing:

36 double rooms, all with heated bathroom floor. The majority have single beds that cannot be moved. Sofa bed in every room. Room for a fourth bed but it can mean it’s a bit tight on space with 4 people.

6 of these rooms are corner rooms and adapted for wheelchair users. Here there are double beds which can separate, as well as a double sofa bed.

3 of these rooms are family rooms, 2 rooms with a door in between and a shared bathroom. There are four ordinary beds as well as a sofa bed and the possibility to add another bed.
Four floors with a lift. In the lowest floor there are two saunas, fitness room and table tennis.

General:

All room are non smoking and have telephone & radio.
Some room are available for dogs, but this must be requested on booking.
All rooms are fitted with carpets and allergy free bed linen (no carpets in the cabins).

Free access to internet for the hotel's guests.

Members of DNT will get discount on ordinary rooms.

'STORHYTTE', a large cabin for 20 people, 5 rooms with two sets of bunk beds, simple kitchen 3 showers/WC, drying room and a communal lounge. Simple standard, former staff accommodation, only 30 metres from the hotel. Can be rented out for groups for certain periods, autumn, winter & spring.

High standard cabins with place for 2-10 people, just 150 metres from the hotel. More info
