No deposit required on bookings for winter 2020/2021
To help our guests plan and 'pencil in' holidays with minimal risk, we are waiving the need for deposits, at the time of booking, for hotel holidays during winter 2020/2021 and summer 2021. We will review this and contact guests at the end of September 2020.
Please contact our booking team for more information or read the full details of our activity package terms and conditions.

Today the last guests traveled and we have closed the hotel for the time being. It all happened so incredibly fast. Thursday morning we were optimistic, but Friday (13/3) suddenly everything was turned on its head. The restrictions on travel came and we are left in disbelief with an empty hotel. We were having a full house these weeks with guests from England, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, France, Italy and USA. The week before Easter, this year's Winter Sports Week for the Disabled was to be arranged for the 55th time at Venabu. Everyone has been looking forward to active days of lovely snow in the mountains, but this was not the case this year.
The staff is laid off, the sun is shining and we have the best snow conditions. It is sad that the mountain is not full of people now as it should have been.
It will be a break in the busy everyday life for us. For some people around the country it has become busier days than ever, while for many it has stopped. Maybe that's what we need? A stop to observe what is happening. A break and more time that can be used to reflect on life. It happens a lot from day to day. To maintain a positive attitude of optimism and trust, we believe it is important to maintain the belief that everything will work out for the best of everyone. It will probably take time, so now it may be more important than ever to care for each other.
We are looking forward to a good summer season and look forward to seeing you here in the mountains.
Venabu is now very quiet. We have closed the hotel for the time being while we wait to see what this global health situation has in store for us all.
As for everyone, events here moved so incredibly quickly. Thursday morning last week we were optimistic, but Friday (13/3) suddenly everything was turned on its head. The restrictions on travel came in and we were left in disbelief with an empty hotel. We were due to have a full house with guests from England, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, France, Italy and USA. The week before Easter, this year's Winter Sports Week for the Disabled, was to take place for the 55th time at Venabu. Everyone has been looking forward to active days of lovely snow in the mountains, but this is not to be, this year.
Our staff have been laid off, the sun is shining, and we have the best snow conditions. We are sad that the mountains are not full of people now as they would have been.
No one can predict the next weeks and months. It will be a break in the busy everyday life for us here. Many people around the world are facing extreme demands on their energy and resources, while for others it may seem that life is at a standstill.
For those of us with quiet time, perhaps we will discover opportunity in this pause: a stop to observe what is happening; a break that can be used to reflect on life. A lot changes from day to day. We believe it is important to keep a positive attitude of optimism and trust. The global situation will take time, and, in that time, we can care for each other.
We hope for a good summer and look forward to seeing you here in the mountains again.
In the meantime, we send love and best wishes to everyone. Take care and be well.
